I’m 39.
I began the day with a fantastic pile of presents from the children (ie: from Wife), with Daughter providing a commentary to my opening of every present that was expertly timed to reveal what the content of each parcel was JUST before I opened it: “That one’s a book, Daddy.”; “That one’s chocolates…” and so on. Old Friend at Work bought me two books on Shakespeare (neither of which I had read), Best PA in the World bought me a chocolate rabbit, and even Fearless Leader chipped in with a leather notebook – so I did pretty well.
The evening saw Wife and I (along with Enthusiastic Account Guy, Fearless Leader and Account Director Who Swears A Lot) take Clients to Le Manoir Aux Quat’ Saisons, which was complemented with a row of epic proportions. But today is the culmination of my celebrations: Wife is taking me to see “The Messiah” at The Royal Albert Hall – and I am VERY excited.
